IT Support & Maintenance

We provide all-encompassing support and maintenance function to your business, operating much like your own IT department.  Our team, from helpdesk managers to engineers have the same dedication to class-leading service.

 

NGIT CARE HOURS - is a straightforward and easy way of accessing our support service.  Purchase an agreed number of hours upfront (minimum 10) and we will provide you with proactive and ad hoc break/fix support at a discounted rate, access to our helpdesk all NGIT resources under these care hours, a monthly statement of all work, these hours do not expire and there is no obligation to purchase additional hours.


NGIT MONTHLY FIXED PRICE SUPPORT -
Support of your business can be provided under a single umbrella agreement at a fixed monthly fee.  This all encompassing service would include everything from proactive health checks to reactive support calls as follows:

Reactive Support

  • System level support (servers/communications)
  • Operating system support
  • Application support
  • User software and desktop assistance
  • Hardware issues

 

Proactive Services

Services provided to include:

  • Monitoring of key systems (servers, routers, switches, key paths, services)
  • Monthly system health checks
  • Monthly system patching
  • Monitoring of backup logs.
  • Liaison with 3rd party suppliers

Helpdesk & IT Outsourcing

NGIT provide a full outsourced IT helpdesk service to offload the burden of providing internal IT cover.  Please contact us for further details on this bespoke service we can offer.

 

NGIT OUTSOURCE SERVICE - NGIT provides onsite general desktop support and technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the your IT systems.  NGIT engineer have wide-ranging skills to cope with hardware, software, the upgrade and installation of equipment, basic application issues, and deal with user related problems. In addition we liaise with third party contractors to raise/escalate support calls where required and to ensure that contract obligations are fulfilled.

 

Typical roles include:

  • Helpline management;

  • Support your staff and systems in various departments;

  • Hardware upgrade, installation & configuration;

  • Software upgrade, installation & configuration;

  • Support users on basic application issues;

  • Telephone support for users;

  • Configure Workstations to a common standard;

  • Keep site documentation up to date;

  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly procedures are signed off (backups, anti-virus updates);

Cloud Computing

Need access to standard Microsoft applications via a Windows desktop but do not want to be tied to your office or require an internal office server?  Our Office Anywhere solution gives you full access to your office desktop from literally anywhere with a suitable broadband connection.

Server Hosting & Co-location

NGIT provide Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas) on our enterprise grade server and storage infrastructure based in Guernsey Tier 2 datacentres.  We provide hosting of your physical or virtual servers in a secure and resilient environment, with the support of our knowledgeable and experience IT consultants.

 

We also provide backup of live systems from the live datacentre to our DR facility over a high speed fibre link.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Ensuring your business remains fully operational when disaster strikes is a key component of your IT strategy. NGIT provides a range of Disaster Recover (DR) solutions including off-site replication of your servers, cloud based backup, virtual disaster recovery, standby server service and full DR suites from where you can continue to run your business. 

 

NGIT VIRTUAL DR - with NGIT's Virtual DR service your business benefits from a reliable and resilient Disaster Recovery solution housed within a secure data centre environment.

 

This protects your entire network and enables you to get your business up and running very quickly in the event of major disruption to your systems. In a Disaster Recovery situation, NGIT Virtual DR lets your employees access their applications, files and emails from any location where they have Internet access. This means that you don’t need to invest in costly fixed hardware and business continuity seating. NGIT Virtual DR has been designed to make Disaster Recovery as simple as possible with a fixed monthly cost.

 

NGIT STANDBY SERVER - Similar to NGIT Virtual DR but in the event of a server failure we will physically bring the DR server to site rather than you accessing it remotely.

 

NGIT DISASTER RECOVERY SUITES - In the event of a serious business interruption where your site is not available or accessible you will be able to transfer your staff and business to our Business Recovery facility with a minimum of fuss and stress. Once relocated, they will be working in pleasant, spacious offices with ample parking.

Managed Email Hosting & Filtering

SHARED VIRTUAL EXCHANGE SERVER HOSTED AND MANAGED BY NGIT

NGIT Outlook Anywhere is a secure managed Exchange server based email environment designed for small businesses. It provides a full Microsoft Exchange server solution that is designed specifically to be used with the latest version of Microsoft Outlook. Clients can access their email via Microsoft Outlook (2007 or later version), Outlook Web Access, Windows Phone, iPhone or Blackberry handheld devices. This service is always available, secure, backed up, and accessible from anywhere with a Broadband Internet connection (NGIT do not recommend the use of public computers).

 

Setup and implementation of NGIT’s Outlook Anywhere service is quick and easy, existing email (within the storage limit), Calendar, Contacts and Tasks can be migrated if required.

 

NGIT Outlook Anywhere is charged on a monthly basis with no capital expenditure other than initial setup costs, in addition, clients have the option to increase and decrease the number of users month by month.

Web Hosting

Provision of webspace for your company to host its website on a secure, 24/7 Monitored Microsoft webserver housed at NGIT’s datacentre.

Backup and Replication Services

We provide a number of backup services, from simple solutions such as our onsite, daily tape change service to complete offsite replication of your data NGIT ensures you don't need to worry about the safety of your business data.

 

NGIT TAPE CHANGE SERVICE - Forget having to remember to change your server tapes each day and finding somewhere secure to store them. With the NGIT’s Tape Change Service we will visit your site each day and change your tapes and store then securely offsite.

Systems Monitoring

NGIT provides complete systems monitoring services that give us a detailed view of your IT system's status. Using this information we ensure your systems are running effectively, updates are applied and any issues are rectified, often before you even knew they existed!

Serviced Offices

We have a number of configurable, purpose built, serviced office spaces available at our St. Peter Port HQ in Guernsey. All are provided with up-to-date network and communications infrastructure. Contact us for more information on our serviced office spaces.

 

NGIT SERVICED OFFICES - NGIT provides a selection of 2, 3 or 4 person office suites on the ground floor of the building. The offices are well presented and fully furnished (including computer equipment).  Internally the offices are fitted with suspended ceilings, recessed lighting, air-conditioning, window blinds and power and data points.  Also on the ground floor is a reception / waiting area, board and meeting rooms, kitchen and WC facilities. These are shared in common with the other occupiers of the building.

 

The rent includes all standard office operating costs (rent, heating, electricity, lighting, tax on real property, parochial rates and insurance).  Secure, onsite, underground car parking can also be made available upon separate negotiation
